Finding Work

Mo started here job search before she moved to the area. Since she is trained as a nurse she was able to get a job and start working before she officially moved to the area.

Kids Fitting In

Mo supported the transition to the community for her kids by encouraging them to do extra curricular activities including Girl Scouts and Dance. This helped them make friends with similar interest as them and transition to the community.

Being a Person of Colour in St. Thomas-Elgin

Mo has had friendly experiences with her neighbours. She believes that her skin colour helped her new coworkers and neighbours identify and welcome them as the new family.
